Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?

Big Boy Accomplishments

Andrew had some big boy accomplishments today.  First of all, just before he got into the bathtub, I had him try to go potty.  This has been an on-going event for a while with no progress made.  At first, Andrew said nothing was coming out.  I told him to wait a bit longer and something would.  After I turned around to start his bathwater, I heard the sound of someone going potty.  IT WAS ANDREW!!!  Mike, Hannah and I praised him for doing such a wonderful job and he got a Hershey's Kiss as a reward.

The second big boy accomplishment was Andrew said his bedtime prayer all by himself.  The whole thing without any prompting or help.  He did a great job!!!

Andrew's third big boy accomplishment wasn't something he mastered.  Rather, it was just a show that he is growing up.  At lunch today, Andrew saw one of his Sunday school classmates, Tirzah.  He looked over and said, "There's Tirzah.  Mom, Tirzah's here."  Now, this doesn't sound like such a big thing, but it was.  The way he said it was so grown up and clear.  He didn't sound like a two-year old but a much older boy.  In the flash of a moment, I could see him about Will's age.  My baby is growing up so fast.

They do grow quickly. I'm amazed at all the changes in my 12-year-old lately.
