Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?

Playing, Blueberries and Kids

Sorry it has been over a week since my last post. There hasn't been a lot going on around here. The kids have been playing in the backyard and in the house; I've been working on never-ending housework; and Mike has been working. Today the kids and I went to the Nesbit Blueberry Plantation and picked a gallon bucket of blueberries. We have been doing this every summer for the last five or six years. The kids enjoy eating the blueberries as much as they like to pick them. Sunday evening, Mike finished planting the bushes and flowers in the garden across the front of the house. Last year, due to the lack of rain and the abundance of ants, we lost all the bushes in the front garden. We have gotten rid of most of the ants (and have ant killer set out for the rest) and the rain has been plentiful this year.

Gosh I miss the Nesbit blueberries! I had some good ones in FL, too. I hope I can find some here. If not, the farm with the strawberries is a good consolation prize!
